Jenny Blake is the owner of a riverboat casino who aspires to live a life of high society. Jack Morgan is her business partner, and the two are in love, but Jenny decides to leave him and the business so she can marry socialite Alan Anderson for prestige. Her new in-laws are infuriated by this marriage and do everything in their power to ruin Jenny in the eyes of society.
