Sin embargo never the less

After the revolution of 1959 and the US embargo that followed, the people of Cuba were left to fend for themselves. Deprived of even the most basic goods, they scavenged the alleys and scrap heaps and, through sheer ingenuity, gave the discarded new life. Shot entirely in Cuba, this program discusses the major developments in Cuba's economic and cultural isolation, particularly the problems that followed the collapse of key ally the Soviet Union, but primarily focuses on the creative and ingenious methods the Cuban public have used to overcome the lack of necessary material goods they are faced with through home made inventions and adaptations.
