"Se fiant aux dires d'une diseuse de bonne aventure, une ouvrière, Kay, s'empresse de séduire le fiancé d'une copine, Louis, en qui elle croit reconnaître l'homme de sa vie. Elle se met en ménage avec lui, mais la vie à deux ne tarde à perdre de sa saveur.
