Monty Roberts always believed there had to be a more humane way to tame horses. A native Californian, Monty worked as a rodeo and competition rider and as a Hollywood stunt double. But even as a child Monty sought a gentler way, one of willing cooperation between horse and man. He surprisingly found that way while observing the behavior of horses in the wild. He discovered horses share a nonverbal language and that he could use that same language to establish a bond with these wild creatures.
