  • "Painter Dora Carrington (Thompson) devotes her life to writer Lytton Strachey (Pryce) - a tall, thin, bearded bachelor and member of London's famed Bloomsbury artistic set. Even though their desire for each other was strong, their relationship was purely based on friendship, a bond that lives until the very end. Carrington is quite simply one of the most powerful and poignant love stories of this century - a love story so unusual it has to be true."

Débute alors une formidable histoire d'amour, nourrie de désir absolu et de liberté."

Between the First World War and the early 1930's, they experimented with a way of life beyond the conventional standards of their time, a life which broke all the taboos of society of their desire to live as freely and honestly as they could. They acknowledged openly what most of us are aware of but still reluctant to discuss: that a great many differences can exist between spiritual love and physical desire."@en
