Oral history interview with Elwin V. Svenson
Svenson's response to Treleven's question ("What has been among your greatest contributions to the institution?") at the end of the interview provides not only a summary of the content, but a perspective of UCLA as a growing institution. In it he sums up what he calls his "serendipitous" placement "at the front end" of many developing programs and issues during his career, along with the privilege of being able to work both nationally and locally on issues related to education and for the betterment of the institution. He cites his generally positive working relationships; there are many examples of these found within.
