Seventeen-year-old Caroline (Kat Dennings of THE 40-YEAR-OLD VIRGIN, NICK AND NORAH'S INFINITE PLAYLIST, TV's 2 BROKE GIRLS) is facing a teenager's nightmare: Her widowed father has moved them from the city to a tiny town in the middle of nowhere where the major tourist attraction is an industrial fire that seems destined to burn forever. Concocting new ways of getting high is a major hobby for most of Caroline's classmates, including the lovelorn Thurston (Reece Thompson of THE PERKS OF BEING A WALLFLOWER), who falls for Caroline the minute he lays eyes on her. Almost immediately, Caroline finds herself entangled in a love triangle between Thurston and her high school teacher (Josh Lucas of SWEET HOME ALABAMA).
