Great expectations

The classic Charles Dickens tale of Pip, the orphan with 'great expections' growing up from boy to young man, his terrifying encounter with the convict Magwich at his mother's grave, the wealthy but eccentric Miss Havisham and her beautiful but spiteful ward, Estella. Pip survives the harsh realities of Victorian England and with the help of a mysterious patron becomes a 'gentleman' but is then shocked to discover the real identity of his benefactor!
