Edvard Munch

This volume provides a general introduction to Norwegian artist Edvard Munch's (1863-1944) prints in the context of 20th-century European art and also describes the innovative printmaking techniques used by Munch. Munch is regarded, along with Van Gogh and Gauguin, as one of the fathers of Expressionism. The authors have included 40 of his finest prints from the collection of the Munch Museum, in Oslo; these prints have been selected to best illustrate Munch's techniques.
