They named the planet after the pretty wife of the corporation's boss. The planet itself seemed not so pretty ... the first impression of the indentured worker-colonists was that it was dull. Then they met the native creatures they called "amorphs." These changelings had a weird but effective defense technique -- they changed shapes until they had the form of the most desirable object of any potential predator they encountered.
