Baden-Baden Oct. 13 1864, to an unidentified friend
Saying that the date of 6 December is agreeable for the soirée, that the master singer will sing [Robert Schumann's] Dichterliebe, that she would like the program to start with Beethoven's Trio in E flat, to be followed by Stockhausen singing some not too tiring pieces, then several solo pieces played by her--not Carnaval, on account of Dichterliebe--, saying Stockhausen has written her nothing about an instrument and asking if she cannot use his Erard, adding that she will be in Schwerin on the 7th and 8th and in Lübeck and Kiel from 14 to 23 December, etc.
