Simon Huntington (1583-1633) was born in England (perhaps in Hempstead). He married twice, and immigrated in 1633 with his second wife, Margaret Huntington, to Roxbury, Massachusetts. He died at sea, and she married Thomas Stoughton in 1635/1636 and settled in Windsor, Connecticut. Descendants and relatives lived in New England, New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Indiana, Michigan, Illinois, Wisconsin, Washington, California and elsewhere.

Focus is on (but not limited to) the descendants of Simon Huntington. Simon married Margaret Baret in 1627, and left England with his wife and five children for America. Simon died onboard ship in 1635, and his family settled in Roxbury, Massachusetts. In 1836, Margaret Thomas Stoughton, and moved to Windsor, Connecticut. Her children were William, Christopher, Simon (b. 1629), Thomas, and Ann. Other Huntington progenitors also immigrated from England, Scotland, Ireland, Switzerland and elsewhere as late as 1888. Some descendants and relatives also lived in South America, Spain and China. Some settled in Canadian Provinces of Alberta, British Columbia, Upper Canada, Newfoundland, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Ontario, Quebec, and Saskatchewan. Others settled in Alabama, Arkansas, California, Connecticut, Florida, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maine, Maryland, Michigan, Mississippi, Missouri Montana, North and South Carolina, Nebraska, New Mexico, Nevada, Ohio Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Washington, West Virginia, Wisconsin, Virginia, Wyoming, and elsewhere."@en
