Webster's New World Large Print Dictionary of the American Language

This braille dictionary for senior high grades consists of 72 volumes totaling 19,446 pages. The dictionary contains over 157,000 entries in a single alphabetical listing with names of people and places, foreign expressions, abbreviations, etc., all appearing in the main body of the book. The individual entries are presented in syllables followed by the phonetic spelling, the part of speech, the etymology, and the definition. In addition to the dictionary listings, other sections include indexes of colleges, universities, junior colleges, and other institutions of higher learning in the United States and Canada; a guide to punctuation and mechanics; a guide to manuscript form; tables of weights and measures; and listings of special signs and symbols. The book is embossed on pages larger than the standard 25 lines, 38 cells. A large-type edition of the dictionary is also available for $399.60.
