"Alaska, 1920: a brutal place to homestead, and especially tough for recent arrivals Jack and Mabel. Childless, they are drifting apart from the weight of the work and the loneliness. In a moment of levity during the season's first snowfall, they build a child out of snow. The next morning, it is gone - but they find a young, blonde-haired girl who calls herself Faina, and seems to be a child of the woods ..."

"En los silenciosos bosques nevados de Alaska, la aparición de una niña misteriosa y salvaje cambiará la vida de una pareja que se había refugiado en ese paraje blanco huyendo de la tristeza y la monotonía de la ciudad. Una historia conmovedora sobre el amor, la ilusión, las segundas oportunidades y la capacidad de creer, ambientada en las hermosas y agrestes montañas de un país tan bello como duro, tan desafiante como inspirador."
"A childless couple working a farm in the brutal landscape of 1920 Alaska discover a little girl living in the wilderness, with a red fox as a companion, and begin to love the strange, almost-supernatural child as their own."@en
"Jack and Mabel have staked everything on making a fresh start for themselves in a homestead in the raw Alaskan wilderness. But as the days grow shorter, Jack is losing his battle to clear the land, and Mabel can no longer contain her grief for the baby she lost many years before. In a moment of tenderness, the pair are surprised to find themselves building a snowman - or rather a snow girl - together. The next morning, all trace of her has disappeared, and Jack can't quite shake the notion that he glimpsed a small figure running through the spruce trees in the dawn light. And how to explain the little but very human tracks Mabel finds at the edge of their property?"@en
"November, 1920. Jack and Mabel have staked everything on making a fresh start in a homestead 'at the world's edge' in the Alaskan wilderness. But as the days grow shorter, Jack is losing his battle to clear the land, and Mabel can no longer contain her grief for the baby she lost years before. The evening the first snow falls, their mood unaccountably changes. In a moment of tenderness, the two build a snowman - or rather a snow girl - together. Next morning, all trace of her has disappeared...yet there, in dawn's light, running through the spruce trees - Jack can't shake the notion that he glimpsed - a child? And how to explain the little but very human tracks Mabel finds at the edge of their property?"
