"Au milieu des années 1950, le petit Victor Frankenstein met en pratique les conseils de son inquiétant professeur de sciences et parvient, grâce au pouvoir électrique couplé à la foudre, à redonner vie à son chien adoré Sparky, écrasé par une voiture. Soucieux de ne pas alerter ses parents et les habitants de sa banlieue aseptisée, le gamin cache l'animal ressuscité dans le grenier de la maison. Or, l'effrayant, mais enjoué cabot, rafistolé à l'aide de boulons et de multiples sutures, ne tarde pas à s'échapper et à se faire remarquer par le bossu Edgar 'E' Gore. En échange du silence de cet envieux camarade de classe, Victor consent à lui révéler la formule ayant permis la résurrection de Sparky. "Tim Burton's black and white stop-motion animated homage to Mary Shelley's 'Frankenstein' is a remake of his 1984 film of the same name.
