Purple cane road a novel

Dave Robicheaux has spent his life confronting the age-old adage that the sins of the fathers pass on to the son. Dead to him since his youth, Dave is stunned to learn that his mother was May Guillory, a whore who was murdered by a bunch of cops thirty years ago, her body dumped in the bayou bordering on Purple Cane Road. Dave's search for his mother's killer leads him to the darker places in his past, and he learns what it means to be his mother's son.
