  • "The story behind the King Tut phenomenon, including the discovery of Tutankhamun's tomb by Howard Carter, Carter's difficulties with the Egyptian government, the reported "curse" connected with the tomb inspired by events such as the death of the expedition's sponsor Lord Carnarvon, the 1968 opening of the coffin and x-ray examination of the remains, and the currrent deteriorating condition of the priceless artifacts in the Cairo Museum."
