"This episode documents the radioactive contamination of many workers and places in Mexico. A worker was asked to remove a machine which unknown to him contained Cobalt 10 a radioactive material. The machine was dumped in a scrap metal yard and eventually sold to a smelting works and made into steel reinforcing rods and transported throughout Mexico and the United States. Some of the men in the scrap metal yard showed traces of radiation poisoning, skin lesions, vommiting and the onset of cancer and buildings in a new housing development had to be torn down because it contained the radioactive steel rods."
