Robert Thompson (1688/1690-1752) moved to Oyster River near Madbury, New Hampshire in 1707, and married Abigail Davis in 1722, settling in Durham, New Hampshire. Ebenezer Thompson (1737-1802), a son, married Mary Torr in 1758, and was active in the Revolutionary War and New Hampshire politics. Descendants and relatives lived in New England, New York, Washington, D.C., Illinois and elsewhere.
