"This video celebrates the 25th anniversary of the first manned landing on the moon. The program includes the historic speech (in its entirety) of President John F. Kennedy on September 12, 1962 at Rice University in Texas, when he pledged that the United States would put a man on the moon "before the end of the decade". The program uses archival footage of the launch and landing of Apollo 11 on the moon on July 20, 1969. It also includes the thoughts of astronauts Neil Armstrong, Edwin "Buzz" Aldrin, and Michael Collins on the anniversary of their history making first flight, they, "came in peace for all mankind"."
