Abraham Hasbroucq immigrated from the Palatinate, via Rotterdam and Amsterdam through England to Ulster County, New York in 1675. He married Marie Duou (Maria Deyo) in 1676 and they helped to establish New Paltz, the Huguenot land grant. Descendants stayed in the area for several generations.
