The fifth witness : a novel

Criminal defense lawyer Mickey Haller's newest client is Lisa Trammel, a young woman accused of killing the banker she blames for trying to take away her home, and despite mounting evidence and his own suspicions that his client is guilty, Mickey vows to clear Lisa's name, and when he uncovers a conspiracy with millions of dollars at stake, Mickey realizes someone besides Lisa had a bigger motive for murder and a reason to kill Mickey to keep him quiet.
