Saul Bellow drafts of nobel lecture

One holograph and five typescript drafts (some incomplete), corrected, of Bellow's acceptance speech for the 1976 Nobel Prize for Literature. In his speech, Bellow discusses the modern novel, mentioning several authors, including Joseph Conrad, Ernest Hemingway, Marcel Proust, D. H. Lawrence, and Alain Robbe-Grillet, among others. Accompanied by brief letters to Samuel Goldberg from Bellow and Harriet Wasserman of the literary representatives Russell & Volkening, Inc.
